It is official, finally after extensive planning and renovations which seemed to take forever, Ranmore Rise has opened! We launched on 23rd May and welcomed our first guests 3 days later!

1 June 2019

One week in and we are so excited to have welcomed our first international visitor, from Sydney, Australia no less. Also just received bookings from Singapore, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Canada, the US, Germany and Switzerland. Of course we are equally happy to have received bookings from closer to home, the nearest so far has been from Brighton, just 60 miles away.

Just had a booking from a family who live in the Surrey Hills area of Cave Creek, Arizona and a booking from Box Hill, not the famous Box Hill down the road from here, no from Box Hill, Australia! What a coincidence!

Thank you so much for the glowing reviews, on AirBnb, Google, Booking.com and Expedia. It makes it feel so worthwhile to know you have had a happy stay here, that is what this is all about and we get so much pleasure from hearing how you have enjoyed your time here 🙂

We are also so very honoured that one of the first guests to have visited Ranmore Rise, Jane and Peter, have come back and stayed a further 7 times!

We are now looking ahead to the Autumn. I love looking at the Surrey Hills landscapes turn a rainbow of different colours, a feast for the senses. Going for a woodland walk from our garden gate and taking in the amazing array of hues is wonderful. Leaves crunch underfoot, conkers drop and weird and wonderful fungi appear and the last of the blackberries are ripe for picking!

To add to the BBQ we already offer guests the use of, we have just invested in a Firepit and Chiminea. Our guests can enjoy cooking al fresco!

Toast marshmallows on our fire pit or bake potatoes and chestnuts in the Chiminea. Again we can supply all ingredients and firewood for a small additional charge. Enjoy a cosy evening outdoors 🙂

Absolutely perfect Thank you so much for a wonderful stay! It was the ideal base for our family's wedding celebration. The rooms were all beautiful, the beds were so comfy we didn't want to leave them but had to for the delicious and plentiful breakfasts which were silently placed outside our door in a hamper each morning. Everything you could ever need was in the apartment somewhere, cleverly hidden behind one of many neat cupboards keeping our stay feeling like a retreat while still saving the day when we had forgotten aftershave or needed a good hairdryer after our salon plans changed last minute! Nothing was too much trouble while we were there, Linda was always at the end of the phone or the corridor if we needed her but we still felt like we were in our own remote home in the hills. Thanks to you, we got to have a wonderful catch up with family and friends we hadn’t seen in two years, while soaking up the peace and quiet of a beautiful area with stunning views. We will definitely be back!

Wonderfulness stay I cannot recommend Ranmore Rise highly enough! It is so scenic and peaceful and we could not have wished for a more friendly, kind and accommodating host. Linda went out of her way to make us feel welcome. We absolutely loved all the extra little touches and it was the perfect base for us all to get ready for the wedding. We really lucked out on this one! Thank you so much

Perfect weekend getaway Ranmore Rise provided us with one of the most wholesome experiences we could have asked for during our family reunion. From the elaborate breakfast spread first thing in the morning, to the guided walks, beautiful sights and pub and restaurant recommendations, we honestly could not have asked for anything better. Having Linda one text away at all times so we could ask her endless (!) questions about the area was one of the most reassuring feelings; I don’t think anyone could have curated a better trip for us, from all aspects. The scrupulous care she takes in making sure guests have a fantastic time is truly invaluable. Thank you so much once again, I know we will be back very soon!

Amazing Stay We had an amazing stay, Ranmore Rise is just beautiful! We felt utterly spoiled, stunning suite with exceptional views out over the breathtaking Surrey Hills. The attention to detail is exemplary! Breakfast was just amazing and the little treats left for us very welcome. Linda went above and beyond and when we visit our family again in the future, this will most definitely be our first choice for accommodation.

Perfection Linda was so welcoming and accommodating. She couldn’t do enough for us. The suite is extremely clean and comfortable, with stunning views. All the thoughtful touches such as the best beds and bedding, high-quality robes and peaceful music playing on arrival made us feel like we were staying at a spa. Very relaxing! The perfect host in the most perfect location What a find! Needed somewhere to stay whilst attending a very special family wedding. Linda made us feel so welcome and couldn’t have done any more for us. She made sure we were all relaxed before the big day on Saturday. The apartment is so comfortable, beds were amazing. Breakfasts were like banquets and to be able to sit on the terrace overlooking some of the most stunning scenery was the icing on the cake. Thank you so much Linda for everything. We are already thinking about booking again, just for a holiday this time. Thanks again 🙏😊xx

Fantastic stay in wine country! Ranmore Rise delivered the tranquil countryside break we were hoping for. The beds were delightfully comfortable and the peace of the surroundings meant that we slept fantastically. The breakfast was sumptuous and delicious and we particularly loved the bread! Linda went the extra mile to accommodate our dietary needs. Nothing was too much trouble for our 'hostess with the mostest' and we loved following her tips for exploring the locality. Thank you for such a relaxing stay!

Amazing, amazing, amazing! Thank you so much for making our stay so perfect! From the delicious breakfast to the beautiful walk which was recommended to us and the unmatched hospitality, we couldn’t have wished for anything more! The stay felt luxurious, like a spa break with the robes and white decor. The view from the window is gorgeous! We really appreciated being able to use the garden for yoga. All food was delicious and Linda kindly catered for vegans in the group! She was so attentive and made our stay really special.

Exceeded all expectations! Short answer: this place is perfect, luxurious while also excellent value and run by an incredibly helpful and truly wonderful host who goes the extra mile and then some. A true hidden gem. Book it. Book it right now. :) Full answer: We had a wonderful weekend stay at Ranmore Rise. Booked as a birthday trip / country getaway for 5 friends, it exceeded all of our (already high) expectations. It's a lovely suite and looked exactly like the photos (actually even more spacious). Super clean, super tidy and very peaceful with stunning views - a great break from the city bustle. Linda was fantastic, answered all of our questions and had some great restaurant recommendations and tips for the local area, which made planning super easy. From the chilled bottle of Prosecco and nibbles waiting for us when we arrived to the lovely, handwritten birthday card, our stay was full of little personal touches that made us all feel so welcome and really made the trip. The suite is gorgeous, the location amazing but Linda's 5-star hospitality is what turned this from a great holiday into a truly unique and unforgettable trip. I'm recommending this place to everyone. :)

The most beautiful view and the most relaxing holiday I’ve ever had. Ranmore Rise is located in a very quaint area and we were absolutely amazed by Linda’s hospitality. The bed is very comfortable and you can choose your pillow type you want! The breakfast is very healthy and it will give you a boost before going on your walks! Linda has a brilliant guide for all the walks in the area and it is truly amazing. We will definitely come back again ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️😃
